We are pleased to announce that the majority of our programs are now being offered in a virtual format. The Touch Quilt Program, Off-Season Tax Assistance Program, and our newly developed Physical Training Program will be available online at no cost to all of our clients.
We are excited to bring our Touch Quilt Program to a virtual platform, making it more accessible to quilters across the region. This new format allows participants to learn how to create touch quilts at their own pace and on their own schedule.
For participants and partner organizations located within the Ottawa Valley, The Change Coalition will coordinate quilt pickup and deliver them either to a recipient of your choice or to one of our partnering organizations.
Our free tax clinic is available during the non-peak tax season to help individuals in our community access reliable, judgment-free tax support.
If you have a modest income and/or a diagnosed invisible disorder, you qualify for free tax preparation services. Our trained volunteers provide confidential assistance to ensure your taxes are completed accurately and on time.
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you’re still welcome to use the service by making a small donation to support The Change Coalition and help us continue offering essential programs for those in need.
Together, we’re making financial support more accessible for everyone.
We’re developing a new workout program specifically designed for individuals living with invisible disorders. This initiative focuses on creating a supportive, adaptable fitness experience — whether you prefer to train at home or in the gym, and regardless of gender or fitness level.
Benefits of participating include:
Best of all, this program is offered completely free of charge. Our goal is to remove barriers to wellness and make fitness accessible, empowering, and inclusive for everyone.
In light of the recent announcement to eliminate youth homelessness by 2030 in the City of Ottawa, The Change Coalition is strengthening our commitment to advocate for the youth our city has pledged to support.
Our goal is to shed light on the root causes of youth homelessness and the complex realities that make it so difficult to address. Factors such as neurodiversity, substance use, and underreporting are at the forefront of our concerns — each contributing to the challenges faced by vulnerable youth and often keeping them unseen within our systems of care.
Through advocacy, awareness, and collaboration, we aim to ensure that every young person in Ottawa has the opportunity for stability, dignity, and belonging.
You’ll find our social media links at the bottom of every page on our website. Through these channels, we share stories of impact, community updates, and the everyday work being done to create meaningful change.
We invite you to follow us, share our content, and join the conversation — your engagement helps amplify the voices and experiences of those living with invisible disorders and other barriers.
Take part in our Trivia Tuesdays and please share your story. 1 in 5 of us have invisible disorders. Please share your story to let others know they are not alone.
If there’s information, resources, or topics you’d like to see highlighted, please reach out. The Change Coalition grows stronger through collaboration and by listening to the needs of our community.
